Am I Going to Heaven?

Man has a sin problem.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:10

All have missed the mark. 

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God:

Romans 3:23

Man’s sin problem began long ago in a garden.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:                     

Romans 5:12

Sin has a penalty.

For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Sin’s penalty is eternal separation from God.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 21:8

Man’s only Hope is Jesus Christ.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Roman’s 5:8

Jesus not only died, but also rose again from the dead.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

I Corinthians 15:3,4

Jesus took our penalty and paid it for us.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

II Corinthians 5:21

Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.

Titus 3:5

You must believe on Jesus.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

You must receive HIm by faith.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 1:12

Belief is a matter of the heart.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:9,10

Call upon Him in faith.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13

Pray a prayer, something like this.

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I deserve to go to hell, but I believe that you died to take away my sin. Please come into my heart and save me by your blood. I am trusting you to take me to heaven when I die. Help me to live my life for you. In Jesus Name. Amen

Did you pray that? Did you mean it with all your heart?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
